What is Calendering?
Calendering is a processing method that uses the strong shear force between rollers and the corresponding processing temperature to squeeze and stretch the viscous material multiple times, and finally becomes a thin sheet product with width and thickness. Plastics and rubber both have calendering processes, and polyvinyl chloride resin is the main raw material for plastics.

Working theory of calender machine
Calender is composed of two or more rollers, arranged according to the heating method, which can be divided into cold pressing and hot pressing. Cold pressing is suitable for materials that do not require heating, such as graphite film, graphite sheet, absorbing material, shielding material, magnetic material, non-ferrous metal material, etc. Hot pressing is divided into water heating, electric heating, oil heating and electromagnetic heating. They are all machines that press and extend rubber, silicone, silicone rubber, phase change material, PTFE or plastic into a film of a certain thickness and surface shape at a certain temperature, and can coat fiber curtain canvas or steel cord with glue. Calenders can be divided into two-roller, three-roller, four-roller and five-roller calenders according to the number of rollers.
Ordinary calenders are mainly composed of rollers, frames, roller spacing adjustment devices, roller temperature adjustment devices, transmission devices, lubrication systems, control systems and roller removal devices. In addition to the main components and devices of ordinary calenders, precision calenders have additional devices to ensure calendering accuracy, such as pressure maintaining systems, bearing clearance adjustment systems, etc.
