Testing Procedure

Before testing, all test parameters must be checked to ensure they are correctly set or displayed.

(1) Turn on the power and water supply switches and release the emergency stop button;
(2) Turn on the main unit's heating and cooling systems. Only after the barrel and die head temperatures reach the set values ​​and stabilize for a period of time (approximately 20-30 minutes) can the extruder be started;
(3) Before the first start-up, confirm that the motor rotation direction is correct. The method for confirming the motor rotation direction is as follows:
Open the hopper, start the extruder drive motor, and observe the screw rotation from the feed port. When viewed from the screw tail to the screw head, the correct screw rotation should be counterclockwise. Otherwise, any two phases of the power connector wires need to be swapped;
(4) After confirming the correct rotation direction, run the machine at a lower speed for a short time to ensure that all parts are correctly installed;
If any abnormal phenomena such as unusual noises are observed during operation, the machine must be stopped immediately for inspection until the cause is identified and resolved before continuing the test run.
(5) Restart the extruder and pour the test material into the hopper;
It is recommended to set a lower speed in the initial stage until the melt is extruded from the die head, after which the screw speed can be increased.
(6) Start the auxiliary equipment.
① Check that all fasteners or connectors in the instrument are securely connected;
② Check the connection of all power cords;
③ Turn on the power switch;
④ Start the motor on the speed control panel; and adjust the speed using the knob.
In case of malfunction or shutdown, press the emergency stop button.
