The temperature control accuracy of the foaming extruder, especially the temperature control accuracy of the lower stage extruder and the head, plays a key role in the performance of foaming products, because the melt strength is a key factor affecting the performance of foaming products. Melt strength is directly related to melt temperature, so it is particularly important to keep melt temperature suitable for foaming in extrusion foaming process. The temperature of the extruder must be controlled precisely in order to keep the melt temperature fluctuation small. The output power of heating and cooling is controlled by the combination of dual channel PID and bidirectional thyristor, which greatly reduces the thermal inertia of the system and the hysteresis of the control. Therefore, the temperature control accuracy is improved. Experiments show that the accuracy of the temperature control system is within ±1℃, so its application greatly improves the performance and yield of foaming products
