What is a biaxial stretching machine?
A biaxial stretcher is a key piece of equipment used to produce high performance films. It stretches the polymer raw material in both the longitudinal (MD) and transverse (TD) directions, so that the molecular chains are arranged in an orderly manner, which significantly improves the mechanical strength, optical properties, barrier properties, etc. of the film. These films are widely used in food packaging, lithium battery separators, automotive interiors, building decoration and other fields.
The working principle of the biaxial stretching machine is to stretch the film in two directions (usually longitudinal and transverse) by applying a certain force at the same time. This stretching makes the molecular chain or crystalline surface in the direction parallel to the plane of the film for the orientation and orderly arrangement, and then in the tension state for heat-setting, so that the orientation of the structure of the macromolecule fixed!
Application
Packaging industry:Food packaging (such as cling film, shrink film),pharmaceutical packaging, daily chemical packaging, etc., to provide good barrier properties, transparency and print ability.
Electronics industry: lithium battery separator, capacitor film, display optical film, etc., requiring high heat resistance, dimensional stability and insulation.
Automotive industry: automotive interior films, window films, battery separators, etc., requiring weather resistance, abrasion resistance and flame retardancy.
Architectural industry: architectural decorative films, solar back sheet films, etc., requiring weather resistance, heat insulation and UV resistance.
Solar industry: for backsheet materials, manufacturing BOPET films for solar panel backsheets, providing insulation and protection.
Medical industry: for medical packaging and medical materials, producing high barrier films for medical device and pharmaceutical packaging, manufacturing high transparency and biocompatible films for medical devices.
Other fields: for labels and printing and magnetic materials: production of high transparency and glossy films for labels and printing, manufacture of high flatness films for magnetic tapes and disks.
