Technological process
By the unwinder, the substrate is added to the laminating system by means of different pre-treatment stations, thickness gauges and pre-heating devices. The single or multi-layer polymer melt is processed in the extruder and applied to the substrate by means of a special seam die. By guiding the polymer film on a cooling roller, the film is tightly adhered to the substrate and will not be separated by water, solvents or high temperatures. The multilayer roll can then be pre-processed by a suitable slitting device. It then passes through yet another thickness gauge, which either simply measures the film layers used or also controls the layer thickness and tolerances by means of an automatic seam die. An additional cooling and finishing system allows further pre-treatment of the web. Finally, a winder is used to wind the coated web onto a shaft suitable for the final product.
